CUSTOM LEATHER PATCHES
If you are looking to take your boots or shoes to another level, Downes specialists team can create amazing things. Hand Crafted patches can be added to your boots or shoes to show off your individual style!
Options range from embroidery to locally sourced Kangaroo leather.
STRAPS AND HARNESSES
Our Downes Modification team can add leather straps and harnesses to your boots and shoes.. colours can be whichever you like, to a design of your choice!
ZIPPERS
If laces aren’t your thing, we can add a zipper to any boot. We also replace broken zips.
CUT DOWNS
This modification is not for everyone but we do offer the service of cutting a taller boot down to a shorter height. Tall boots aren’t everyone’s cup of tea!
BLACKENING THE YELLOW STITCH
If your aren’t a fan of the classic Dr Martens yellow welt stitch, or your workplace or school has a thing against it.. WE CAN DYE IT. Choose black or brown.. or even red, blue, green, almost ANYTHING. We are so serious about modding your Docs to your unique vision, we have even perfected a way to darken the sole. BAM!
DYEING
This is probably our favourite mod.. as the possibilities are endless. Boots and shoes can be touched up for rehab or completely changed to become something brand new and exclusively designed for you. Recently, we’ve mostly been working with white leather, they come up with some brilliant colours!
GLITTERISATION
Ridiculously fun and makes the wearer jump with joy when they get the finished glitter boot on their feet… happiness for all! Completely customisable and many colours to choose from. It leaves glitter all around our workbench but we don’t care.. it’s too much cool!
Freakish Rescue
Sometimes crazy things can happen to your shoes… your beloved pup decided to make a chew toy out of your favourite boots, or maybe you accidentally put a machete through them.. who knows! We may be able to help, our repair team have done some amazing things to some amazingly destroyed old favourites. Never be shy, we’d love to hear your broken boot story!
Boot Extension
If your 8 eye, 10 eye or 14 eye boots aren’t quite doing it for you and you want some more leather up your leg, chat to us about a boot extension. Our leather artist can match the leather and carefully add as much length as your heart desires.
